E.H. (Howard) Cannon opened the doors to Cannon & Company in 1950. He officially opened his one-person accounting office on the third floor of the Nissen Building in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. His wife Julia was his secretary. She suggested adding the “company” to the small two-person office because it “wasn’t the size of the company, but the company that you keep,” and thus began one of the longest-standing companies still in operation— a successful business based on that simple and pure idea. We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you there! Event Details: Join us on September 28, 2026, at the beautiful championship golf course at Tanglewood in Clemmons, NC, for a day of celebrating over 75 years in business. Proceeds from our 1st annual charity golf tournament in 2025 raised $8,000 to support Alzheimer’s research and community programs in Western North Carolina. This year we want to push ourselves to reach $10,000 and I know together we can do it! This disease and all its many forms have had a devastating effect on so many lives. It is our hope that this tournament helps bring the community together to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses and funds to provide support services for families affected by them.
