About

Since 1993, Clemson students and the Pickens County Habitat Campus Chapter have led one of the most visible, hands-on traditions at the university—the Homecoming Build on Bowman Field. It’s not symbolic. It’s a real house, for a real family, framed by students in the heart of campus. Homecoming isn’t just floats and fanfare. It’s a time to show what this campus stands for. The Homecoming Build puts that belief into action. For two weeks, students raise a house on Bowman Field—then see it through to completion at its permanent site in Pickens County. It’s student-led. It’s volunteer-powered. And it works. Over 10,000 Clemson students have helped build more than 30 homes through this tradition. Every year, that number grows. https://youtu.be/63l8-h6BCYg?si=kM_Qjizl3z6QPfVe Students will frame the 2026 Homecoming House on Bowman Field. After Homecoming Week, the house will be moved and completed at its permanent site by student and community volunteers.
