The Make Well Known Community Classic 1st Annual Golf Fundraiser As an official participant in the Biden-Harris White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities, the Make Well Known Foundation (MWKF) is committed to the "Food is Medicine" philosophy. This event serves as fundraising platform for the MWKF and our 2024-25 Philadelphia Community Health Builders cohort. Our Collaborative Fundraising Model We believe that health equity is achieved through collaboration, not competition. In alignment with our mission to support local implementation partners, event proceeds will be split equally among our participating 2024-25 Philadelphia Community Health Builders. By joining us, you are directly investing in the following organizations and their vital work in nutrition, wellness, and community advocacy: MANNA: Providing medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling to neighbors battling life-threatening illnesses. Bartram’s Garden: A 50-acre National Historic Landmark and public garden that serves as a hub for community farming and food sovereignty. PEDS 360+: Empowering youth and families through holistic health education and pediatric wellness support. Get Fresh Daily: Creating culturally relevant wellness experiences and increasing access to fresh, plant-based foods in urban communities. Puentes de Salud: Promoting health and wellness in Philadelphia’s rapidly growing Latino immigrant community through high-quality healthcare and educational programs. The Community Grocer: Reimagining the corner store as a center for nutrition, offering fresh ingredients and healthy meal solutions for the neighborhood.
