Mission Statement: Providing comfort and support to children with health issues through toy and monetary donations. My youngest son was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. He is now cancer-free! We spent many days and nights at the cancer unit at the University of Iowa Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. The nurses and doctors became like family to us, and we formed incredible bonds with other families who were also fighting for their children. One holiday season, while my son was there, community members brought gifts for him and other children. I will never forget the gratitude I felt or the smile on my son’s face. I began to think: I could do this… I could pay it forward… I could bring gratitude to other parents… I could help other children smile… That was the beginning of Woody’s Toys FTK, Inc.
