For more than a century, People’s Independent Church of Christ has sought to be more than a place of worship—we have worked to be a resource, advocate, and partner in strengthening our community. As we celebrate this historic milestone, we are looking toward the future and creating new opportunities for economic empowerment. Golfing for a Greater Purpose Proceeds from this year’s tournament will support the re-establishment of the People’s Community Credit Union, an initiative focused on bringing accessible and community-centered financial resources back to the people we serve. Our vision is to create a financial institution that can help promote financial education, responsible banking, savings, credit development, homeownership, entrepreneurship, and generational wealth-building. Re-establishing the People’s Community Credit Union represents another step in our commitment to strengthening families and creating sustainable economic opportunities within our community.
